Dysport was created in 1990s in United Kingdom. Since that time, it has been popular around the world. However, the FDA only approved it in April 2009. It is constructed of the same toxins used in Botox. As soon as the wrinkles are immobilized, this results in decrease in wrinkles and lines on the face.
This is widely used to further improve appearance and also to prevent deep lines from forming. By doing this one can possibly maintain a youthful appearance. Dysport is needed mostly in three areas. These are the area between the eyebrows, the spot close to the eyes and also the forehead. It is usually injected within the area where expression lines are found. These are the areas where creases or lines are formed when you smile, frown, scowl or when you are surprised. It is not generally used to treat lines or wrinkles that are not attributable to facial expressions. Additionally it is not recommended for patients who may have had surgery on the face and anyone who has weak muscles.
Dysport is an alternative for Botox for patients who realize that aforementioned no longer works for them. Some research implies that Dysport lasts longer than Botox. Even though the latter can last for about 4 months, the previous lasts for at least half a year to a year essentially. Unwanted side effects connected with this treatment offer a similar experience with that of Botox. These include slight swelling, numbness and slight bruising. However, these unwanted effects disappear within a few hours or perhaps a day at most.
Exactly like any medical treatment, a proper consultation with a licensed physician is essential. It will always be best to talk to your doctor before doing anything to your system.
